Description
Barcelona is the heart and the soul of the autonomous
region of Catalonia in the northeast of Spain. This sophisticated
city has much to offer: a nice weather, beaches, a great
nightlife, an impressive Olympic villa, historical places
and museums. It is possible to admire monuments from gothic
to Spanish art nouveau , as the masterpieces of the genius
of Gaudí; to walk by the animated uproar of the
boulevards and to attend the shows of the vanguard theater.
CP Barcelona is located in the Open Sports Club in the
Prat de Llobregat, a club in the outskirts of Barcelona.
An ideal location for the language and sports training
in a pleasant and exclusive outdoors atmosphere.
Lodging
The personnel of CP Barcelona help the students to choose
the most suitable lodging in agreement with its needs.
The students can live in university residences in Barcelona
or the suburbs, with Spanish families or in apartments
and hotels.
Academics
CP offers Spanish general courses of 24 hours per week,
evening courses of 10 hours per week and particular classes
of 2 or 8 hours per day. They have a language and tennis
program in charge of Emilio Sánchez Vicario and
Sergio Casal. The participants of this program enjoy free
access to some of the club’s facilities such as
the swimming pool or the gymnasium.
Activities
CP Barcelona has a complete cultural activities program,
in addition to the activities offered in the Open Sports
Club. The excursions include Barcelona and its museums,
the Tibidabo amusement park, the Pueblo Español
and the Montjuic. There are leisure and social activities,
such as free evenings, cinema, the Port Aventura Park,
shopping or cultural shows. The weekend destinies allow
the students to explore Spain: Madrid, Gerona, Tarragona
and the Catalan monasteries, coastal Valencia and other
areas, the Spanish Pyrenees or Andalusia.
