Description
The school is located in a modern building of five floors
in the heart of downtown, in the famous boulevard La Gran
Vía. 65 spacious classrooms, all with windows and
balconies, multimedia classrooms, leisure and meeting
central area, where students do their homework, read newspapers
and drink a coffee with their schoolmates. It is possible
to have a sunbath in the magnificent solarium or also
to enjoy the residence, located in the same building of
the school.
Lodging
The school offers the students the possibility of lodging
in family houses or students apartment. In a family house
the Spanish daily life can be known, and there is nothing
better to practice the language. The students apartment
are distributed in such a way that people of different
nationalities share the same floor. Nevertheless, the
risk of speaking another language is great. An agreement
with the roommates to speak Spanish with the greatest
possible frequency would be a good idea. The apartments
are not very luxurious, but they have all the basic comforts
(a bed, table, chair and a closet).
Academics
A methodology based on the learning by the practice is
used (the grammar is taught in practical situations).
The use of the language extremely important in the interaction
between teacher and student. Don Quixote has refined its
methodology by the evaluation and suggestions of its students.
The groups do not have more than 8 students in intensive
or superintensive courses. The school have a minimum of
four classes per day with a break of half an hour. Each
lesson last around 50 minutes. They are programmed between
8 AM and 8 PM, mornings or afternoons.
Activities
The school offers free activities, welcome supper the
first day of weekly class, followed of a celebration,
guided visits through the city, weekly class of traditional
songs, weekly classes of dance (sevillana, salsa, charro
dance or paso doble). Every week documentary films and
cultural movies are projected. Also excursions to near
places of interest can be done. In Don Quixote it is possible
to practice aerobics, basketball, gymnasium, golf, hockey,
swimming, soccer, tennis, horse riding, etc.
